This would be a great unit for someone looking period accuracy. We pulled this from our 79 Scirocco somewhere around 1984, it was replaced by a unit with cassette player. This unit started up as if it was brand new. Both output connectors are intact and have enough wire to attach.

I have connected a lot of car stereos from the late 80s newer than this only to find they bad capacitors or other problems. Rates vary greatly depending on carrier. This has been in a cabinet at my parents house ever since.
